Company Profile
Shaw Valves is the hazardous chemical valve division of Shaw Son &
Greenhalgh Ltd. a UK based company originally established in 1876.

In May 2004 Shaw Son & Greenhalgh Ltd. was amalgamated with Taylor
Valves Ltd. originally established in 1904. This fusion brought together
a huge wealth of experience and two world renowned reputations for high
quality specialist valve products for steam and hazardous chemical
service. Today steam valves are supplied through the taylorshaw
division and full details can be found at their website

Blackhall acquired the award winning Shaw valves in 2007, internationally
recognised for their innovative design, achieving the Queens Award for Environmental Efficiency. We employ an experienced and highly skilled workforce, who are assisted by the latest computer aided
design technology and CNC machine tools.

Our first hazardous chemical valve was manufactured for chlorine service
in 1991. Since then we have supplied over 10,000 valves for the most
demanding applications to customers across five continents. The basic
design can be applied to all services by selecting the appropriate body,
bonnet and trim materials. We have a wide knowledge of and experience
in supplying valves in Hastelloy, Alloy 600, Monel 400 and Alloy 20 as
well as low temperature carbon and stainless steel.

The majority of the valves are manually operated for ON/OFF service but
many are actuated either for ON/OFF or full modulating control.

We are continually being challenged to develop new products with higher
reliability and better service performance. If you have a globe or plug
valve application where you feel performance needs improving why not see
whether our experienced engineering team can help develop a solution.
You will never know until you have asked the question.

We take pride in the products we make and meeting the expectations of
our customers both in the UK and overseas. Thank you for your interest
in Shaw Valves.
